Our ridge machined finish prevents hoses from popping off under pressure

The inlet has a ridge machined finish surface to ensure maximum bite into the silicone hose. This helps prevent hoses from popping off … unlike with smooth or poorly finished surfaces on other adaptors. This robust design makes the TD42 Intake Manifold adaptor elbow a top choice for durability.

Smooth or poorly finished surfaces are a leading cause of turbocharger failure due to a sudden overspeed event when the compressor becomes unloaded. This is why we have taken the time and expense to incorporate a ridged machine surface finish on all of our high performance adaptors that can be subject to very high boost pressures.

Other similar products use a simple cast ridge at the end of the tube, which work ok at low and moderate boost pressures but have been known not to perform at boost levels above 30PSI.

3 boost reference points

Our intake manifold adaptor elbow is manufactured from cast aluminium and has three 1/8th BSP ports for boost reference points to attach a compensator, boost gauge as well as a spare. These features make it a versatile component of the TD42 Intake Manifold.

Works with common and custom top-mount intercoolers

It has been designed to work with all common top-mount intercooler kits. The concentric design allows the elbow to be rotated 90 degrees at a time to allow forward/rear/left or right facing. So whether your intercooler kit is off the shelf or a custom job, this elbow gives the lowest possible profile for maximum clearance under the intercooler.
